Prince Andrew was reportedly booed as he was driven down the Mall to attend the Coronation of King Charles.

The under-fire royal left Buckingham Palace this morning and was captured by photographers as he headed for Westminster Abbey.

PA reported that he was driven down the Mall in a state car. Parts of the crowd in a grandstand in front of Buckingham Palace booed as Andrew went past.

And The Guardian reported that among the 'Not my King' placards at Trafalgar Square was one which read, “God save Virginia Giuffre”, in reference to the woman who has made sexual assault claims against Prince Andrew.

He settled with Ms Giuffre out of court in February last year.

She is a trafficking victim of the late Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex offence charges in New York.

Andrew will be in attendance for the service at Westminster Abbey today but will have no formal role at the Coronation of his older brother.

As expected, he is wearing a normal suit and not military uniform for the event. After the late Queen stripped him of his royal titles, he stopped using the style 'His Royal Highness' in any official capacity.

Andrew was forced to step down from his royal duties in 2019 due to his links with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
