Princess Charlotte is perfect doppelganger of royal relative in long lost snap

Fans of one of the youngest members of the Royal Family were left stunned by a shocking resemblance between her and an elderly member.

Princess Charlotte is only seven-years-old, but it looks like she might be the doppelganger of Lady Sarah Chatto.

A side-by-side picture of her and the young daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton was posted on Twitter – and it set fans on the social media platform owned by tech billionaire Elon Musk wild.

Lady Chatto, for those who don't know, is the only niece of the-late Queen Elizabeth, and was the second child and only daughter of Princess Margaret and husband Antony Armstrong-Jones.

She is also the godmother of controversial royal Prince Harry.

But it is a picture of her at a similar age to that of Princess Charlotte now that has gone viral.

And the resemblance is striking, from the clothes to the hair and many facial features

The pair could be mistaken for identical twins – something noticed by many fans.

One wrote: “Lady Sarah Chatto (Princess Margaret’s daughter) and princess Charlotte, uncanny resemblance – funny how genetics works.”

And a second wrote: “The resemblance is amazing!!!

“Given Lady Sarah is Queen's niece & we've said Princess Charlotte has a strong resemblance to late QEII since a baby.

“Then again there's strong similarities to her grandmother Diana too.”

A third posted: “Wow, I would have thought that was Charlotte!

“They are identical.”

The pair were actually together on Christmas Day, as they were both attending the annual Royal Family festivities at Sandringham.

Lady Chatto was also seen at Kate Middleton's much-talked-about Carol Service on Christmas Eve.

Although she didn't take centre stage – or in act any part of the state – she was seen at Westminster Abbey wearing a black coat.
