An 82-year-old great-grandmother has become a viral sensation after holding a ‘need more wine’ sign from her window while in coronavirus quarantine.

Annette Muller is described by daughter Kelly as ‘the life of the party,’ but the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of four, has been isolating at her Ontario home during the pandemic.

Despite losing her husband to prostate cancer 21 years ago, a daughter to ovarian cancer eight years ago and watching her son go through treatment for throat cancer for the last three years, Kelly says her mother has an immense capacity to remain positive.

‘My mother is the toughest person I know,’ Kelly told the TODAY. ‘Also, my brother, Kirk Muller, played in the NHL for 19 years so my mom is known as the biggest hockey mom in our city.

‘She hasn’t missed a Hockey Night in Canada hockey game on Saturday nights in I don’t know how many years, and she still has a glass of wine and watches her hockey games on TV.’

Kelly who lives less than a mile from her mother was checking in on her last week when she spotted Annette standing at the window with the hilarious sign.

‘I wasn’t shocked to pull up and see her holding up a handmade sign,’ Kelly said. ‘I asked her what kind, and she said, “Red? White? It doesn’t matter to me. They all taste the same!”

Annette has been missing her family and friends during the pandemic which has infected more than 24,000 in Canada, and killed more than 700.

However, Kelly posted an update photo of her mother showing her delightedly holding a fresh bottle of wine.
