Rare glimpse of Kate Middleton’s family home and their incredible garden

Royal fans were given a rare glimpse of Kate Middleton's parents’ home when her brother filmed an Instagram video at the property.

James Middleton was staying with his parents during lockdown and gave a sneak peak of Middleton's home in Bucklebury, West Berkshire.

The footage, which was filmed in 2020, showed rare footage of the home of Carole and Michael Middleton as James looked to surprise his family.

The camera pans around to show perfectly trimmed lawns and beds of wildflowers around the patio of the family home.

A series of photos can also be seen displayed on the wall behind a set of white French doors.

Carole and Michael are also seen enjoying some sunshine as they sit by the entrance to the home, where a wall full of white meadow flowers are beautifully bloomed.

They moved to the house in 2012 after selling Kate’s childhood home, which had four bedrooms, in Bradfield, Berkshire for a reported £495,000, according to Cosmopolitan.

James was filming because he decided to shave off his beard, which he had grown for seven years, to give his then fiancée Alizee Thevenet a surprise.

He has since married Alizee during a private ceremony in France in September 2021.

The Instagram video started with James sitting in the green garden that sprawls out for some distance behind him.

Alizee jumps up from her chair and squeaks in shock and excitement over James' new look.

In the clip, James explains: "As Alizee and myself were due to get married… well actually, this month..she's never seen me without a beard, so I thought it was about time I showed her what was behind it.

"In fact, what I am most worried about is these guys might not recognise me afterwards. Say goodbye."

Kate and Prince William are still regular visitors to the Middleton family home and are known to visit the local pub, the Boot Inn.

Prince George reportedly spent his first few weeks at Kate’s parent’s home rather than Kensington Palace as the duchess decided to stay close to her family.
