Three people have died in a car crash outside a pub, with emergency services dispatched to the scene.
The accident took place on East Prescot Road in Liverpool around 12.15am this morning, with a BMW colliding with a roundabout.
A man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s, and a man in his 30s were all tragically pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital.
The road remains closed and police have since launched an investigation, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Merseyside Police confirmed in a statement: "Their families have been informed and an investigation continues at the scene, including CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries.
"A road closure is in place between the junction of Eaton Road and East Prescot Road to Blackmoor Drive. The roundabout is closed in all directions.
"Diversions are in place and we would ask motorists to take an alternative route."
