The UK’s border with France is set to reopen on Wednesday morning, hopefully ending fears of food shortages in the run up to Christmas.

Thousands of lorry drivers were left stranded in Kent after the Eurotunnel and border was closed this weekend.

France's transport minister, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, today tweeted that flights, ferries and Eurostar services will resume on Wednesday morning, December 23.
